Group Transport in Accra with a Professional Driver

The moment a group of eight or more lands at Kotoka, the transport problem becomes real. Three separate taxis means three separate fares, three arrival times, and the inevitable phone calls trying to reconnect at the hotel. Splitting a family across vehicles at midnight after a ten hour flight is nobody's idea of a good start.

We used to solve that with a 10 seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. That vehicle is no longer part of the fleet, and rather than leave a page up selling something we cannot deliver, here is what we can actually do and what to ask anyone else you approach.

What We Can Cover

Two vehicles, a silver 2025 BYD Song Plus and a Deepal S7 Executive, each carrying 4 passengers with a professional driver. For a group of five to eight, that means two cars moving together on one booking, one agreed price, and drivers who coordinate rather than three unrelated taxis meeting at a hotel by luck.

Two cars is not the same product as one van, and we will not pretend otherwise. Two vehicles depends on both being free on your dates and on driver availability, so group bookings need more notice than a single airport transfer. Tell us the passenger count, the luggage count and the dates, and we will tell you plainly whether we can cover it.

When You Actually Need a Minibus

Some trips do not work split across cars. A funeral party moving to a hometown outside Accra over several days, a church group of fifteen, a corporate team that needs to arrive together: those want one vehicle, and that means an operator who runs one. We would rather say so than take a booking we have to apologise for later.

If that is your situation, the two things worth asking any van operator in Accra are below. They come from running a 10 seater here, and they hold whoever you hire from.

Ask About the Air Conditioning Specifically

This sounds like a small thing and it is not. Plenty of the buses available for hire in Accra are older imports where the air conditioning either does not reach the back rows or does not really work at all. In Accra heat, with a full load of passengers, that turns a two hour drive into an ordeal, and you only discover the problem once everyone is already aboard.

Ask whether the cabin cools front to back, and ask before you pay a deposit.

Ask Where the Luggage Goes

A ten seat vehicle with ten passengers and ten suitcases needs somewhere for the suitcases to go. Some minibuses seat ten only if nobody brings a bag. If your group is arriving on international flights with checked luggage, give the operator the passenger count and the bag count together and make them confirm both fit, rather than assuming the seat count settles it.
